Process:

Collection: The oral swab test involves collecting a saliva sample from the inside of your cheek.     A trained technician will use a cotton-tipped swab to gently rub along the gum line.

Testing: The collected sample is then placed into a testing device that detects the presence of drugs in the saliva.

Results: The results are typically available within minutes. Positive results may require confirmation through a more detailed lab analysis.

Advantages: Quick, non-invasive, and easy to perform at mobile locations.

Process:

Collection: The donor is provided with a clean, sterile container to provide a urine sample. The collection is often conducted in a private setting to ensure the integrity of the sample.

Testing: The urine sample is then analyzed for the presence of drugs using an immunoassay screening method. If a positive result is found, a confirmatory test (GC-MS or LC-MS) is conducted for accuracy.

Results: Results are generally available within 24-48 hours for negative results, with positive results requiring a confirmation process that can take a bit longer.

Advantages: Reliable and widely accepted for detecting recent drug use. It is highly effective for testing substances like marijuana, opiates, and cocaine.

Process:

Collection: Blood is drawn by a certified technician in a controlled setting, typically at a medical office or lab. The technician uses a needle to draw a small sample of blood from the vein.

Testing: The blood sample is sent to a laboratory where it is analyzed for the presence of drugs and their metabolites. This method can detect both recent and historical drug use.

Results: Results are typically available within 2-5 business days, depending on the type of test.

Advantages: Blood tests offer the most accurate results for detecting drug use, particularly when exact levels or recent use are important.

Process:

Collection: The donor is asked to breathe into a handheld device that measures the presence of alcohol in the breath. This test is commonly used for alcohol detection.

Testing: The breath sample is analyzed immediately by a digital breathalyzer. The device will provide a reading of the alcohol concentration in the individual’s breath.

Results: Results are available instantly. If the test detects alcohol levels above a legal threshold, further testing may be required.
