These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of services provided by SafeHeart CPR Academy, www.safeheartllc.com (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By booking an appointment, enrolling in a class, receiving services, or interacting with our team, you (“Client,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Services Provided
SafeHeart CPR Academy provides professional training and testing services, including but not limited to:
- CPR training and certification (AHA & Red Cross)
- IV certification courses
- Legal and non-legal DNA testing (paternity, maternity, sibling, avuncular, grandparent, immigration, etc.)
- Ink fingerprinting
- DOT and non-DOT drug testing (urine, rapid, and hair follicle)
- STD and HIV lab panels
- Phlebotomy services
All services are available by appointment only at our training and testing facility or other approved locations.
2. Appointments and Scheduling
- Appointments must be scheduled in advance by phone, email, or through our website.
- Same-day appointments may be available, subject to staff availability.
- Clients must arrive on time. A 10-minute grace period will be honored; arrivals beyond this may require rescheduling.
- No-shows or cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment/class may result in a rescheduling fee.
- Walk-ins are not guaranteed and depend on staff availability.
3. Payment Terms
- Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Accepted payment methods include credit/debit cards, PayPal, and approved business checks. Cash may be accepted with prior approval.
- Certification courses, DNA testing, and specialty services must be paid in full prior to class start or sample collection.
- All payments are final. No refunds will be issued once a service has been rendered, a class has started, or a sample has been collected.
4. Legal and Court-Admissible Testing
- SafeHeart CPR Academy partners with accredited laboratories to ensure that legal DNA test results meet chain-of-custody and court standards.
- Clients must inform us if the test is intended for legal purposes at the time of scheduling.
- Non-legal tests may not be admissible in court.
- We are not responsible for delays due to incomplete or incorrect client information.
5. Confidentiality and Privacy
- All personal information and test results are kept confidential in compliance with HIPAA and industry standards.
- Results are released only to authorized parties designated on the consent form or chain-of-custody documentation.
- No test results will be disclosed to third parties without written consent, unless required by law.
6. Result Delivery Times
- DNA test results: typically within 2–5 business days.
- Rapid drug screen results: within 15–30 minutes.
- Hair follicle and lab-based drug testing: 2–5 business days.
- STD and HIV lab panels: 1–3 business days.
- Delays may occur due to laboratory processing, holidays, or incomplete paperwork.
7. Client Responsibilities
By using our services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful personal information.
- Follow instructions given by staff and instructors.
- Treat our team and other clients with respect.
- Not use services for fraudulent, illegal, or deceptive purposes.
8. Limitation of Liability
- SafeHeart CPR Academy is a training and testing provider, not a laboratory.
- We are not responsible for laboratory delays, inconclusive results, or issues caused by third-party processing.
- We are not liable for legal decisions, employment outcomes, certifications, or other consequences based on test results or certifications.
- All outcomes are based on the accuracy of the information provided and the samples submitted.
9. Refusal of Service
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who:
- Is disrespectful, threatening, or disruptive.
- Appears under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- Fails to follow safety protocols.
- Requests services outside the scope of what we provide.
10. Age Restrictions
- Clients must be 18 years or older to authorize testing or enroll in certification courses.
- For minors, a parent or legal guardian must provide consent and documentation.
11. Re-Testing and Disputes
- Requests for re-testing may incur additional fees.
- If a specimen is rejected due to client error (e.g., insufficient sample, tampering), the client is responsible for re-collection costs.
- Disputes regarding results must be directed to the laboratory.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Any disputes will be handled in accordance with applicable state and federal laws.
13. Changes to Terms
SafeHeart CPR Academy reserves the right to update these Terms at any time without prior notice. The most current version will always be posted on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
